About the Role

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real impact in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff? We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Associate to help maintain charter school facilities and ensure smooth daily operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of a multi-story school building, performing routine cleaning, deep cleaning during breaks, and responding to facility requests. If you take pride in your work, have strong time management skills, and can work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Daily Cleaning & Maintenance: Mop, dust, vacuum, clean restrooms, wash windows, and sanitize high-traffic areas.
✅ Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Perform deep cleaning, waxing floors, and assembling furniture during school breaks.
✅ School Support Tasks: Assist with school movement projects and facility-related requests from staff in a timely manner.
✅ Restocking & Supply Management: Ensure restrooms and supply closets are stocked with necessary materials.
✅ Trash & Waste Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas.
✅ Exterior Upkeep: Sweep sidewalks, remove snow as needed, and maintain outdoor cleanliness.
✅ Light Repairs & Maintenance: Handle minor repairs and facility upkeep as needed.

Job Details:
📍 Location: Charter school setting
🕒 Job Type: Full-time (6 AM – 10 PM) | Part-time (4 PM – 10 PM) | On-Call (6 AM – 10 PM)
💰 Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
⏳ Expected Hours: 20 – 40 per week

Work Schedule Possibilities:
📅 Monday – Friday
🌅 Morning, Day, & Evening shifts available
📆 Occasional weekends & on-call shifts as needed

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ Experience: At least 1 year of custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience (Required)

✔️ Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks efficiently

✔️ Physical Ability: Comfortable with lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks

✔️ Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

✔️ Education: High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
